So since about a year ago I've finally managed to get some colour into my work and I've started experimenting with different media. ^^ And having lots of fun with it.
My recent work has a base of watercolour crayons, which I then go over with Polychromos Crayons to smooth the gradient, then I colour with Polychromos and finally add some highlights with glittery gelpens, which sadly don't come out in the scan. But they're fun ^^

However in the past I've also experimented with drawing with coffee (fav.me/d2be7pu) and tea, I've used a wash of watercolours with a sprinkle of salt to get some very interesting textures. (fav.me/d29im23)
So I was wondering...
Do you have any interesting ideas for experimenting? Or new media to try? Stuff you like to do?
Please share your ideas and experiences, I'd love to hear them

New(ish) Creative Blog
Recently I've been posting a lot of my stuff to my new(ish) blog over at http://www.mindflight.me
It's not that new, but I've only recently started working on it more seriously. A lot of art will probably be appearing there before it appears here, so hop on over! I'd love to see some familiar faces over there! I also share other creative projects there, other than my drawing, such as calligraphy and the odd craft project :)
Etsy Wordpress Template Store
Hi everyone, I've been pretty inactive here recently, as I've been busy trying to set up as a freelance graphics and webdesigner to support myself.
Now I've opened an Etsy store for all you bloggers out there, where I offer beautiful responsive templates that'll let your blog look good at all sizes (PC, tablet, mobile) and inject it with a bit of design-personality :)

Just some prompts for generating more creativity in life. Or finding some inspiration when your stumped.
Keep a notebook. For ideas. For dreams. For lists. For journaling. For anything.
Keep a sketchbook. For doodling. For exploring. For capturing memories. For playing.
Write your own autobiography. Just for fun.
Write three pages of whatever comes into your head. Do it regularly. Do it every morning to clear your head.
Go on a reading fast. A television fast. An internet fast. See how long you can go without.
Make a list of 20 30 things you enjoyed doing when you were younger. Do them.
List 5 alternative lives. What would you b

I know somebody who puts sand through her paint to give it beautiful texture! Never tried it myself though. I mostly use a mix of pastel pencils and regular coloured pencils, not much experimental stuff.... Hmm lemme think... When I still worked with oil paint, I did love to smudge it with my fingers a lot, it makes it look real smooth (and it's fun! ) It works with other paint but not as obvious. When I think of anything else, I'll let you know! Good luck, have fun
P.s: the Nanny rocks xD
