Okay, have another Aesop's Fable.
I am way more pleased with this one than the last one [link] tried to make the style flow more, get the lines to join better, tried to make the image more uh... self-contained with the overall oval shape etc.
I'm really pleased with the result, I really love drawing in this style... I think I might rework the old one at some stage, see if I can improve the composition.

So... any suggestions which fables you'd like to see? They're starting to really grow on me.

PS: Do I hate inking or what? :XD: *dies*

The Fox and the Grapes

One hot summer's day a Fox was strolling through an orchard till he came to a bunch of Grapes just ripening on a vine which had been trained over a lofty branch. "Just the thing to quench my thirst," quoth he. Drawing back a few paces, he took a run and a jump, and just missed the bunch. Turning round again with a One, Two, Three, he jumped up, but with no greater success. Again and again he tried after the tempting morsel, but at last had to give it up, and walked away with his nose in the air, saying: "I am sure they are sour."

It is easy to despise what you cannot get.

Wow, what a wonderful concept to such a great fable- and the execution of it is perfect!! I could see it becoming a stained glass pendant that you would hang by the window to catch the light. I would buy it!

Thank you for your lovely comment :D That would be awesome if it could be made into a stained glass pendant... I'll have to find out if that's possible sometime :D

This is BEAUTIFUL and inspiring to boot! I think I'm going to try to make this out of clay - I'll definitely send you a picture if it comes out resembling anything like this XD

Wow, thank you very much, I'm glad you like it! I'd love to see a clay version of this, let me know at once when you make one!
Maybe I should try and make one myself ^^

FINALLY got it home! I only get 2 hours a week to work on it so week one and 2 were spent making it in clay, week 3 it was glazed after firing, week 4 it was glued back together (oops...), week 5 there was no class and on week 6 I got to take it home :D

Here's what I came up with: [link]

Thanks so much for the inspiration. It's such a fabulous drawing :D

Oh, I don't mind at all. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Not as detailed as I would've liked but such is the nature of the beast :D I'm so glad you like it as well ^_^

:D Yeah, I think it's brilliant, and I imagine it would be quite hard to make XD
What did you make it from by the way?

I made it with plain ol' clay and water. When it got fired before and after glazing, some pieces broke off and, well, there's a fair amount of glue holding it together >_<

Aw, that's a pity, but you can't tell from the photo :) It looks awesome!
